Andy Marcinek is the Director of Digital Learning and Technology for Groton-Dunstable Regional School District and a blogger for Edutopia. Andy recently served as an Instructional Technology Specialist at Burlington High School and played a major role in launching the 1:1 iPad environment, organizing the iPad deployment professional development and leading several educational technology events in Burlington. He spent his previous seven years as a secondary English teacher and college professor. Andy has assisted and led numerous school districts in launching Google Apps for Education environments. In addition, Andy has designed, created and integrated a five year digital learning and sustainability plan for Groton-Dunstable Regional School District. This plan works to synthesize digital learning opportunities with contemporary curriculum and standards.

Andy has designed and created a digital and information literacy course that focus on Web 2.0 applications, Google Apps for Education, Information Literacy, and Digital Citizenship. Andy co-created the 1:1 high school Student HelpDesk which provides technology support for students and staff, has organized four edcamps and presents at various conferences around the country. Based on his current and previous work at Edutopia, Andy is in the final phase of finishing his first book through Corwin Press on personalized learning in 1:1 environment.
