Lights, Camera...Create! Video Projects for Students

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Creating videos is an engaging way to challenge students to share their knowledge while drawing upon a wide range of skills. Video projects require students to plan, collaborate, write, and communicate for an audience beyond the walls of their classroom. Although video projects challenge students with higher-order thinking, these projects do not require expensive equipment or significant class time. The presenter will share specific classroom project ideas and student examples that were created using completely free tools. Whether you have iPads, desktop computers or Chromebooks, there are great options for creating videos with students from elementary through high school. This fast-paced session will feature a range of video projects including: narrated slideshows, animated slideshows, newscasts, trailers created using 30 Hands (iPad App), Touchcast (iPad App & desktop version), Animoto (iPad & web-version), Wideo (web-based) and more!
